ICB Verse is a revolutionary virtual city within the metaverse, designed to transform the way we learn, teach, and exchange knowledge. ICB Verse is part of ICB Labs ecosystem, a startup company that aims to empower innovation through decentralization, delivering blockchain and metaverse solutions for businesses and users.

Responsibilities:
  • Redesigned the overall user interface and experience of the metaverse platform, blending sleek design with game-inspired visuals to enhance aesthetics and usability.
  • Built a highly scalable and future proof design system for recurring interactions such as character customization & item shop and unique interactions such as book borrowing in the metaverse.
  • Created consistent user interface styling while creating variations with the use of colors and custom interactions on different levels of the metaverse.
  • Collaborated with developers and 3D artists to ensure seamless integration of visual assets within metaverse environments.
  • Led the design team in developing a cohesive visual identity for the company and its sub-brands.
  • Created custom illustrations and immersive screens for metaverse spaces to enhance user engagement.
  • Produced high-converting marketing materials for international technology and blockchain events.

The Problem:

The high-stakes race to the metaverse has begun, but education has yet to be revolutionized. For decades, the learning structure was still modeled according to the standards of the industrial age. In the digital age, there is a dire need for an accessible, interactive, and experiential learning environment that fosters engagement, collaboration, and real-world skill application.

The Goal:

ICB Verse is building immersive and interactive 3D environments within the metaverse to transform traditional learning methods into highly engaging experiences. Students can interact with educators, peers, and virtual tools in real-time, on the web, and in VR, making learning more accessible and interactive. Additionally, credentials and degrees earned in the metaverse education system are backed by blockchain, which ensures the credibility and value of educational offerings

Hamdan M.

Hamdan is a neurodivergent learner who will greatly benefit from a flexible and personalized learning environment that adapts to his pace, sensory preferences, and communication style. However, traditional classrooms and standard online platforms overwhelm him with rigid structures, time-bound instruction, and sensory distractions, making it difficult for him to focus, participate confidently, and fully absorb the material.

Vaughn is a frequent traveler and remote learner who wants access to high-quality education and opportunities to connect with international instructors and peers.

Zabeel S.

Zabeel is an educator who wants to deliver highly engaging, interactive lessons while effectively tracking student progress. However, traditional learning management systems limit real-time interaction and provide shallow engagement analytics

Design Process

To future-proof the product design, I created the design system by developing variables and tokens for styles, components, and screens in Figma. I developed set of components for repetitive interactions of the all the spaces in the metaverse and separate sets of components to solve the specific interactions of the spaces.
